Maybe you have been struggling with one particular area of sin common to youngsters, both Christian and Non-Christian youth.
You have grown desperate over the lack of victory over sin in spite of your repeated prayers and attempts to live a holy life. And at this point of time you might be wondering whether there is any meaning and purpose in this struggle against sin.
Maybe the most devastating situation might be that you had experienced victory in its fullness for some months or years and then suddenly fell into sin again. And till today you have been unable to get up and walk out of it.
Before you decide to say “I Quit” listen to what the Bible says: “And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it” (1 Corinthians 10:13b NIV).
Now you might say, “If that is true, then why am i still falling into sin?” That is a good question. Now look carefully at the verse above for the answer: “He will also provide a way” That is what it says. Not your method but a way that God provides will lead you to victory.
You need to learn what is the way He is providing. That sometimes takes time to understand. That is one reason why you have repeatedly fallen into sin.
You also need to learn to give up your methods. That also takes time because you need to learn to depend on God instead. But you’ll soon learn it and walk in victory. So cheer up now.
