We do not look to Jesus because his sinless perfection makes us uncomfortable in his holy presence.
We do not look to Jesus because the “I” in me is demanding to be crowned and fighting to rule my life.
We do not look to Jesus because so many of our friends do not consider him and they make fun that we have suddenly taken a U turn in life.
We do not look to Jesus because he always says, “Follow Me,” and demands obedience and a life of sacrifice.
We do not look to Jesus because it is not easy for us to make him our first love in our life above all others.
We do not look to Jesus because his way is that of the cross; and life by the way of death.
We do not look to Jesus because we want to strive and toil and labour to earn our own salvation rather than put our trust in what he has finished or accomplished by his blood on the cross.
