The Lord your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with His love, he will rejoice over you with singing (Zephaniah 3:17 NIV).
God is with you if you have accepted Jesus as Savior and Lord of your life. There never need arise any doubt or second thoughts about it. The very purpose of Jesus coming into this world and dying for each one of us was to bridge the gap between God and man. That God may be with us always. And so He is with us.
He is a God who is mighty to save. Salvation comes from God alone. He is a God who alone can save us from disasters that threaten to overwhelm us. There need arise no doubt about God’s power to save. The pages of the Bible amply demonstrate the awesome might of God which He displayed on behalf of His children on numerous occasions.
There is no need to doubt the fact that God delights in us. It is the Devil who sows doubts in our mind about God’s love for us. God is delighted with His children because they are being transformed into the likeness and image of His Son Jesus. Let us be happy and joyful that God delights in us.
Like a mother taking an infant child into her arms and quieting the child by her loving care, God takes delight in us and quiets us with His love that overflows for us.
God wants us to rest securely in His comforting arms that uphold and strengthen us. Like a mother singing lullabies, God will rejoice over you, His resting child, with singing. This is the privilege of God’s children. It includes you!
