When the dove returned to him in the evening, there in its beak was a freshly plucked olive leaf! Then Noah knew that the water had receded from the earth (Genesis 8:11 NIV).
God may have caused you to be shut up in His ark. You may have thought that being shut up like that was a wasted exercise. But know that God did this for your own good. He did this so that you may be preserved alive in the land of the living. Otherwise you too would have been destroyed in the flood of God’s judgment.
While every possibility of your moving out into spheres of activity and usefulness you had once enjoyed seems to be cut off because you are now shut up in your home (or some other place for that matter); think of the safety to which God has enclosed you in.
Think of enlarging your understanding of God through much prayer and reading and meditation of His Word while you are thus shut up till the waters recede outside.
Wait till the appropriate time comes. Then you shall start to seek release from your current position. At first just inquire whether there is a possibility for you to move out as Noah sent the raven. Wait again for some more time. This time try another method if the need so arises as Noah sent the dove out. If it returns to you, sent it out again after waiting for some more time.
And then when it shall come with a freshly plucked olive leaf in its beak you shall know for sure that God’s time for your life is come. The freshly plucked olive leaf is God’s green signal to you. It tells you that the waiting period is almost ended and the fresh opportunity is now yours!
