Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision! For the day of the Lord is near in the valley of decision (Joel 3:14 NIV).
What a day this is going to be! The numbers cannot be counted. They all stand awaiting their judgment at the hand of a righteous God. This shall take place in the Valley of Jehoshaphat (v. 12).
Then the Lord will roar from Zion and thunder from Jerusalem (v. 16). Such a great day has been appointed. It is near! Take thought about that; that day is near!
Today, people may laugh when you talk about a day of judgment. But on the day of the Lord they shall be gathered to this valley. Their God will make a decision about where they are going to spend their eternity.
The wicked will be thrown to hell. No doubt about that. The truth is that the wicked had made that decision for themselves even before the day of the Lord. They had chosen to reject Jesus, the Messiah, the Son of God, the Savior and Light of the world.
And now God rejects them. They thus face the judgment of God. What a frightening thought it is to face the Lord who roars and thunders from Jerusalem!
But what a time for you to be reading this. For the hour appointed is very near! This is the time to review your decision. Have you already made a decision for God? If so, the Lord shall have mercy on you.
But have you been serious about your decision to live for God? If not, this is a time to renew your decision. For when the day of the Lord arrives, there shall be no more opportunity for any man or woman to make a decision.
That is the time for God. He will separate His servants from the wicked. The valley of decision shall eternally separate the godless from the wicked. That day is near!
