You Are Loved!

God Loves You!
You are unique. There is no one else like you on earth. There never was one like you, nor will there be one again. This fact itself tells you that you are special!
You are special because of a more important reason too. You have been created in the image and likeness of God. This is what makes you differ from animals and all other creation. It is this ability in you that enables you to know and love God.

“Then why have I not been able so far to enjoy God’s love?” you may ask. It is because there is a problem in each one of us that stands as a barrier to God’s love.

The Problem!
The problem is termed “SIN” in the Bible. Sin present in us is what makes us do wrong. Sin in us cuts us off from God since He is a holy God. Our good works cannot make us worthy of God’s love as it cannot remove sin from us.

Only God in His everlasting love for man could provide a way for man’s salvation. For this purpose God sent His one and only Son Jesus to this earth.

Jesus –the Lamb of God!
In God’s sight sin had to be punished. The punishment for sin was death. And if someone had to be delivered from death an innocent animal’s blood had to be shed. Now Jesus led a sinless life on earth as a human being. And like a lamb he was sacrificed on the cross for man’s sins.

He died for you and me. And God was satisfied when He saw the blood of Jesus poured out as an offering for sins. No more sacrifices are needed for man’s sin because the death of Jesus was a once for all sacrifice. Thus, Jesus through His death became the way for man to draw near to God and receive forgiveness of sins and eternal life.

Eternal Life!
Jesus conquered death when He rose again from the dead on the third day. And because Jesus lives, all who put their trust in Him will live for ever and enjoy God’s love for all eternity!

“For God so loved the world that he gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16 / Bible NIV).

The Invitation!
Jesus is inviting you today to put your trust in Him:

“If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, streams of living water will flow from within him” (John 7:37,38 / Bible NIV).
