Did you miss something this Christmas?
We’re not talking about gifts or money or even keys you tend to misplace. The one thing that leaves a bad taste in the mouth is the question, “What was it all about?” There were Christmas trees, stars, cakes, gifts and Santa Claus.
But the one thing–the most important thing–that was missing was worship. It can happen only when we realize the child born is King. The wise men said, We have come to worship him (Matthew 2:2, 11). Angels worshiped him (Hebrews 1:6). The shepherds glorified and praised God (Luke 2:20).
This New Year, will you come to Jesus in worship. It does not mean just bowing down. But what it truly means is putting him on the throne. Where? The throne in your heart. And give him the right to rule.One practical thing is how much you yield to him when you make decisions. It will reveal who you truly worship. Not just at Christmas, all the days of the year.
