The River of Life

There flows a river;
A river, a river of life.
Of its abundance
I drink deeply
Till from within my heart
Its streams, living, overflows!

Clear as a crystal
Flowing from God's throne
And of the Lamb.
It's a river, a river, a river
Of life-giving power
As its peaceful torrents flow.

On the banks of this river, river, river,
Stand the tree of life,
Yielding fruit every month--
It is food that never fails.
Their leaves wither not;
And they heal the nations.

There is a river of the water of life;
Whose streams make glad
The city of God.
This is a river;
A spring of living water
That wells up to eternal life!
