Wonders and Miracles

He performs wonders that cannot be fathomed, miracles that cannot be counted (Job 9:10 NIV).

Wonders are that happenings that cause us to be surprised. Miracles likewise make us stand amazed because it often contradicts known scientific facts. Job says that such events from God abound.

He adds that you cannot keep track of such acts from God since they are too many. Most of them defy our logic and understanding and are too much for the human mind to comprehend.

Have we thought about the wonderful miracles that God performs for us everyday? You may say, “But we don’t see miracles everyday. They happen only very rarely.” Miracles do happen daily. We do not see them because we take them for granted.

A small change in our attitude can help us to see the wonders that God does for us all around and at all times.

Let me ask you a simple question. “Is your living now a miracle?” What is your answer to this? We live because of God’s mercy. And only because He sustains us by His mighty hand.

It takes only a moment for life to depart from a body, due to expected and unexpected events in life. In this modern world with a lot of dangers, isn’t it truly a wonder that God keeps us safe every moment of our lives?

Think about the providence of God day by day in our lives. Think about how He cares for us and meets our daily needs. Think about the help He gives us through people provided for us at the right place at the right time. Think about His forgiveness. Think about new beginnings.

Start thanking God for the little miracles of life!
